Come and celebrate Halloween in Park City this season! Cooler days and longer nights bring a pleasant chill to the air – as a variety of themed events bring a thrill to your spirit. Kids have classic trick-or-treating opportunities while ghost tours, haunted attractions, and more add excitement to your visit. Park City comes out in all its glory to celebrate this spooky season in style – there’s even a costumed pet parade to enjoy!
Halloween on Main Street 2019
Pets and kids take center stage on Main Street. The street fills with excited trick-or-treaters going door to door to participating vendors to fill their bags with candy. Be sure to stick around until 5:00 p.m. when the famed Dog Parade begins on Lower Main Street. An incredible array of leashed, costumed dogs and their happy owners – often dressed to match – march their way all the way to Heber Avenue. It’s a great way to celebrate the season, whether you want to dress up yourself, have a little one to take with you.
Park City Ghost Tours
Hearing… and seeing… is believing! Take a chilling ghost tour of Park City led by retired history teachers Rob and Lela Newey. With some assistance from filmmaker Erik Hutchins – expert in metaphysics, paranormal activity, and extrasensory perception – they have thoroughly researched the many area ghost stories to determine which 15 tales are the most terrifying and thrilling.
Park City Nursery
Celebrate the fall season with a local family tradition. Pick out a pumpkin fresh from the pumpkin patch, enjoy the bright leaves and beautiful fall flowers, or visit the Haunted Forest for a seasonally spooky and scary experience. Join members of the local community for a variety of entertainment, sights, and blooms at the nursery – it’s the perfect way to enjoy the cooler weather.
Halloween Movie Night
Halloween Movie Night at Park City’s DeJoria Center features a special showing of Hocus Pocus on October 26 at 3:30 p.m. Introduce your young ones to this beloved Halloween classic. All ages are welcome at this free event! The movie is followed by a fun and friendly round of trunk-or-treat in the parking lot from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Halloween Wagon Rides
Take a trip to the world of Sleepy Hollow. Enjoy an authentic horse-drawn wagon ride through the picturesque hills of Soldier Hollow, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics – and now the Headless Horseman himself! Beware: as your wagon rolls its way through spooky sites and scenery, you’ll hear the classic story of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow amid shadowy canyons and forests purported to be haunted. This utterly eerie experience is suitable for all ages.

As the first snow of the season threatens to stick and each day begins with a colder and colder chill, winter threatens to stay for good. But until that snow starts to pile up, there is still time to make memories and spend quality time outside with your family. At The Chateaux Deer Valley, we’re still soaking up the last of fall in our Courtyard. With games, snacks, and our outdoor pool and hot tubs, we’ll be out enjoying ourselves until we can hit the slopes of Deer Valley for the winter. Join us this fall for some end of season outdoor activities before the ski resorts open.
Every Sunday and Monday from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, we’ll be serving up creative and delicious cotton candy creations for our guests. With a variety of flavors and colors, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy.
Pull up a chair at one of our outdoor fire pits and roast some marshmallows. We provide a variety of candy types, graham crackers, and of course, the mallows. So get creative and compile your own delicious s’mores treat with your loved ones.
When you’re not indulging in sweet treats, form a group of four to play a game of cornhole. We provide the boards and the bean bags, you and your family or friends do the rest. Simply set the boards up 12 to 15 paces apart, split into two teams of two, and toss the bean bags. Each bag that lands on the board is one point and each bag that manages to slide into the hole is worth three. The first team to make it to 21 points wins!
After a riveting game of cornhole, change into your bathing suits. Our outdoor heated pool and hot tubs are a great place to play, relax, and enjoy the last few days of fall. The pool is heated year-round so you don’t have to worry about getting too cold. If you do need some extra warmth though, we have two outdoor hot tubs to soak the chill away. The pool and hot tubs are open from 7 am to 9 pm daily.
