Dan Tewksbury serves as the Guest Services Manager at The Residences at The Chateaux Deer Valley. His story is familiar to many who call Park City home. You move here for a single ski season, but the sweet summer months persuade you to stay a little longer. The years drift along, and before you know it, you’re clicking back into your skis for a tenth winter season. Tewksbury is surprised to find that over a decade has passed since he first unpacked his skis in 2008. A smile creases his face as he reminisces those early days. It seems that he has unwittingly become a true Parkite. It happens. This extraordinary little town has a tendency to win over wanderers and make lifelong residents of adventurous hearts. A Minnesota native, Tewksbury is no stranger to winter sports. He grew up competing in hockey, and still enjoys playing twice a week. However, Park City offers something Minnesota does not have- world-class skiing. “I moved here because of the skiing, so I’m a huge skier. During the summer, I enjoy biking, hiking, golfing, fishing, boating, and just hanging out with friends and family. ” As the Guest Services Manager, Tewksbury oversees the day-to-day operations of the concierge, front desk, bellman, drivers, activities department, and daily breakfast services. He loves getting to serve in such a variety of capacities and departments. Most of all, he enjoys getting to know the 114 families that regularly return to The Residences. “Building those relationships with them, week after week, year after year, I really like that. I feel like the owners really recognize what we do for them and are grateful towards us.” Tewksbury first worked for the Stein Collection as a member of the Stein Eriksen Lodge concierge team. After a couple years, he moved across the street, where he was promoted to Guest Services Manager at The Residences. He was originally drawn to Stein Collection for the first-class reputation, but he’s stayed for the company culture. “I really like the family atmosphere. The fact that the CEO of the company knows every single employee on a first name basis is pretty cool.” Next time you’re visiting The Residences at The Chateaux Deer Valley, be sure to say hello to Dan Tewksbury. He’ll greet you with a warm smile and friendly hospitality. Just don’t be surprised if you find yourself staying in Park City longer than you intended! Share Comments are closed.
