At Utah Olympic Park, visitors have an incredible opportunity to celebrate the spirit of the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games all year long. The park serves to encourage healthy, active lifestyles while providing a wide variety of uses for the former Olympic venue. A place that celebrates inspiration and accomplishment, where athletes can train side by side with world champions, Utah Olympic Park is a wonderful place to visit during the summer months. From its Olympic legacy to a wide range of activities, amusements, performances, museums, and attractions, there is something to do, see, or experience to suit every interest and fitness level.
A Historic Legacy Lives On
As a sister property to Stein Eriksen Lodge, The Chateaux Deer Valley is proud to celebrate Stein Eriksen's Olympic legacy in all seasons. During the winter of 2002, Utah proudly hosted the XIX Olympic Winter Games and the VIII Paralympic Winter Games. These Games featured 2,500 Olympians from 77 different nations competing in incredible venues with ideal weather conditions. This historic combination created the perfect setting for athletes to perform at their ultimate best. Offering the largest crowds ever recorded for an Olympic Winter Games, onlookers filled every venue, cheering on each athlete and event. The United States Team won a record 34 medals, crushing the previous record of just 13. The Utah Olympic Park, operated by the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, now promotes the ongoing positive effects of this historic Winter Games for residents and visitors from all over the world – all year long.
