Deer Valley Resort has a lot of exciting developments headed our way, which we learned during a recent interview with Steve Graff, the Director of Mountain Operations.
Q: What is Deer Valley Resort working on right now?
A: This summer, we’re beginning construction on multiple new projects, including Tsunami, a black diamond rated trail. We’re aiming to have this completed by late summer, and it will open in stages as each stage is completed.
Q: What are the hiking trails at Deer Valley?
A: Ontario, Silver Lake, Red Cloud, and Sultan Out and Back. They all have different features and difficulty levels. The most popular hiking trail is Silver Lake and Red Cloud trail is great for guests who are looking for a more secluded hiking experience.
Q: Any other news you’d like to share about Deer Valley’s summer?
A: We just started our Twilight Ride series, which is for guests that work 9-5 jobs and need extra time to hit the trails. We will stay open late every Wednesday night from 4:00-8:00 p.m. This also runs in conjunction with the free concert series at Snow Park, so get a group together, come up for a ride, and then regroup for some great tunes on the mountainside.
Q: What will Deer Valley be working on for next year?
A: For 2018, we’re going to create a continuation of our flow trails, which will consist of new mountain bike trail expansions as well as a new trail on Bald Eagle Mountain.
There’s plenty of excitement going on at Deer Valley Resort this summer, so come up and begin to create your own Deer Valley moments!
